This is one of my favourite songs of recent years…

Audio track: Blessed be Your Name

This arrangement (a little higher than normal in the key of B) aims to provide a good way to practice bar chords, along with a steady and continuous right hand rythm. Unusually, the rythm has emphasis on 3rd beat.

You’ll also hear an arpeggio lick at the end of the intro, and repeated later as a lead-in to a new section. The lick is based around the E chord played in 1st position.

Rythm backing is provided by Apple Loops. I play rythm and melody guitar parts live on my Taylor 914ce, and the bass line using my Warick Infinity 5-string LTD 2000

(Appologies for the untidy music production quality – I’m having trouble with latency in Garageband, and haven’t had time to iron everything out!)
